Healthy Chocolate Avocado Ice Cream

This rich and creamy chocolate avocado ice cream is a treat you can enjoy without feeling bad about it. The healthy fats in avocados are great for you, and cocoa powder makes chocolate taste great without using dairy or refined sugar.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: dairy-free chocolate chips or cacao nibs for topping

Instructions:

Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a blender or food processor


Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, coconut milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the blender


Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure everything is well combined


Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm


Once frozen, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly before scooping


Serve topped with dairy-free chocolate chips or cacao nibs if desired
